Freeze-Dried Microgreen Powder Recipe Ideas

Wondering how to incorporate our Freeze-Dried Microgreen Powder into your daily routine? Your imagination is your only limit...oh and the temperature too. As long as you keep the powder at 120F or lower, everything else is up to your taste buds! To get you started, we've gathered some ideas for you here, all of which we have tried ourselves. These ideas range from healthy to indulgent, so take your pick or try them all. Since the powder doesn't come with any added flavor, it won't compete with what you want to add it to. Even in plain water, the taste is not too overpowering especially with a squeeze of lemon.

Daily Simplicity

Juice

Shake into any juice, store-bought or freshly squeezed. You can adjust the concentration adding your two teaspoons into a large or small pour - doesn't matter as long as you get it all.

Smoothie

Blend the powder into any smoothie. To ensure you get maximum nutrition, pre-freeze all your ingredients to unlock nutrients. Don't worry about the powder though, as we've done that step for you already!

Coffee or Tea (Keep it under 120 °F)

Add to your daily coffee or tea. Stir it in when its cool enough to drink.

Salad Dressing

Make a lazy salad by adding the powder to any salad dressing. Adding that to any lettuce magically adds mustard, bok choy, broccoli and red cabbage as well.

Dips / Spreads

Take any dip or spread and take it to the next level nutritionally by adding a comparable number of servings of powder. We love smashed avocado/guacamole, hummus or salsa.

Healthy Treats

Chocolate

Make healthy chocolate treats by adding the powder to melted chocolate. Chocolate melts at a safe temperature so no worries there. Pour the melted chocolate into any mold or spread it out on a parchment paper at a thickness of your choosing and cut it into small bars once its solidified.

Ice Cream

Stir the powder into a scoop or two of ice cream. It works in a milkshake too!

Snacks

Treat the powder like a seasoning by adding your two teaspoons to a chips or popcorn. Put them together in a bag and shake to ensure a nice even coating.

Pudding/Mousse

Adding the powder into any no-bake dessert is a great option. Even if some ingredients start off warm, just add it in once the ingredients cool down before you put it into the fridge to set.

Try these out and share any other great ideas you might have!
